Cruise marketers are familiar with "wave season," the peak in bookings from January to March potentially due to office doldrums sparking dreams of one's next vacation. Forecasts for 2009 indicate a big year for all areas of travel, with U.S. online leisure travel sales expected to reach $116B, a 10.5 percent increase over 2008.1
